Rosedale Presbyterian Church is pleased to present the TORONTO BRASS QUINTET in concert with CLASSICS for BRASS! (Sunday JAN 20' 2013 at 3pm). Works by Bach, Gesualdo, Calvert, Ewald etc.

"Abendmusik" at RPC

In the late 17th century,the great German composer & organist , Dietrich Buxtehude, developed a series of evening concerts featuring a variety of music. Performed at the Marienkirche in Lübeck, North Germany. These concerts came to prominence and became known as the "Abendmusik" series (or evening-music). It is in this pioneering spirit that RPC seeks to promote a variety of local talent, in the tradition of the "Abendmusik", but with a desire to bring new music to Toronto audiences at large.
